KokoHub Seller Policy is established to maintain trust, transparency, and a high-quality marketplace experience for buyers seeking phones, electronics, and accessories. All sellers must carefully read and adhere to this policy. Violations may result in suspension or removal from the platform.
A. Transparency & Honesty
Sellers must honestly and accurately represent themselves and the products they list on KokoHub. Sellers agree to:
Provide accurate and complete product descriptions, including model name, storage capacity, RAM, condition (Brand New, Fairly Used, Refurbished), and any known defects.
Use real photos of the actual device being sold stock images or photos from other listings are not permitted.
List accurate prices and not engage in price manipulation or coordination with other sellers.
Disclose the IMEI number upon buyer request to confirm device authenticity and avoid listing stolen or blacklisted devices.
Respect the intellectual property rights of brands and manufacturers.
B. Creating a Seller Account and Listing Products
When a seller registers and lists products on KokoHub, the seller agrees to:
Provide accurate personal and business information including name, contact details, and location within Lagos.
Only list phones, electronics, and accessories that are genuinely available and in the condition described.
Comply with discount and promotional campaigns that KokoHub may launch to drive buyer engagement and increase sales.
Refrain from listing counterfeit, cloned, or tampered devices.
Not upload false, misleading, or fraudulent product information, descriptions, photos, or communications.
Acknowledge that KokoHub reserves the absolute right to suspend or terminate a seller account for policy violations. Outstanding fees remain payable regardless of account status.
C. Communicating and Interacting with Buyers
Sellers agree to:
Not interfere with other sellers' stores, including contacting buyers to disparage other listings or leaving fraudulent reviews.
Not send unsolicited promotional messages or spam to buyers.
Not contact a buyer after they have explicitly asked not to be contacted.
Treat buyers with respect at all times. Harassment, abusive language, or discriminatory messaging is strictly prohibited. Report any such behavior from buyers to KokoHub support immediately.
D. Privacy of Buyer Information
When fulfilling transactions, sellers may receive buyer information such as name, phone number, and delivery address. Sellers are considered independent data controllers of this information and must use it solely for fulfilling the order. Sharing or selling buyer data to third parties is strictly prohibited.
E. Buyer Service Standards
KokoHub sellers are expected to maintain high standards of customer service. Sellers agree to:
Respond to buyer inquiries promptly ideally within 24 hours.
Honor agreed delivery timelines and processing times.
Allow buyers to inspect the device before completing payment, in line with KokoHub's "Inspect before you pay" policy.
Resolve disputes directly with buyers in good faith. If resolution cannot be reached, KokoHub's dispute resolution process will be used.
Notify the buyer immediately if an order cannot be fulfilled and process a full refund without delay.
F. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds
If a seller cannot complete a transaction, they must notify the buyer immediately and cancel the order. If payment has been received, the seller must issue a full refund. Sellers must retain proof of refunds in case of future disputes. Returns initiated due to a device being non-functional or significantly different from its listing description must be accepted and resolved promptly.
G. Reputation and Reviews
Sellers build their reputation on KokoHub through the buyer review system. Buyers may rate products from one to five stars and leave written feedback. Sellers must not attempt to manipulate reviews by incentivizing positive ratings or discouraging honest negative feedback.
KokoHub reserves the right to correct, update, or change this Sellers Policy at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the most current version of this policy.
